Watch Me As I Create A Niche Web Site!

I am going to create a Niche Web Site from scratch and I’m allowing you to watch me as I do it.
In my ebook How To Blog For CA$H!, I mention that Niche Blogs are a great way to earn income from blogging. Niche blogs are becoming extremely popular on the Internet these days. Niche blogs are one type of niche web site that can bring you traffic and profits. Another type of niche web site that is extremely popular is a niche article site. Not many days go by when I don’t receive at least one email advertising some sort of tool to aid in setting up and running a niche site.
In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, a niche blog or niche web site is set up to target a particular market. A niche doesn’t necessarily have to be based around Internet Marketing. It is sometimes difficult for us as Internet marketers to think outside of IM but a niche can be set up around specific markets such as Vintage Cars, Business Schools, iPods, PSP’s or any other target market. For us marketers however there are also niche sites set up to target Network and Internet Marketers, such as StayHomeDads News and OVBlogger.
I’ve been reading and learning about niches for a few months now and I’m now ready to get into the niche blogging market.
I am completely new at this, so I can’t use my large email list, or contacts to get the traffic I need. I’m truly starting from 0 and building from scratch. What I have currently is a list of about 200 subscribers, but none of them are in the niche that I’m going to target.
If you are new at this like I am, then you can follow along each step of the way. If you have questions, comments or suggestions please share them by commenting below. If you are an experienced niche marketer, I hope you will help us through this process by commenting on the steps I’m taking and give us guidance and advice.
I’m doing this because 1) I want to get into Niche marketing, 2) I haven’t found all the steps in one place that I could follow like a blueprint and 3) I want to see if I can get into this market successfully.
The steps I am going to take are:
- Identifying a Niche
- Finding Niche Content
- Setting up the Niche Web Site
- Load the content
- Get traffic to the site
There may be intermittent steps as I go along the process that I haven’t thought about yet. If I come across something else, you can be sure that I’ll include it as I go along.
This is an experiment and you get to watch me succeed or fail!
We’ll get started tomorrow by Identifying the Niche that I’m going to target.
This is going to be fun!
