Creating A Niche Site: Part 3 - Setting Up The Site

Today is part 3 (Lesson 4) of my How To Create a Niche Site From Scratch series.
Do you ever watch those cooking shows where the host puts the raw ingredients in the oven, and “through the magic of television” immediately pulls out the finished product?
Well, here you go, http://stayhomedads.com/programming/
That site looks pretty good, huh?
Would you believe it only took me about 15 minutes to put it together? And that is completely out-of-the-box.
I don’t recommend that you just throw your articles up into a site like that without modifying them a little to make them unique. However, I just wanted to show you what the finished product will look like, and how professional it looks.
As I said, after you have the articles and the header graphic, it only takes about 15 minutes to build a site like that. How did I do it so quickly?
I used an awesome product called Article Site Kit Pro. This product is AWESOME! When I told you it only took 15 minutes to build that complete site, I wasn’t kidding. You simply open Article Site Kit Pro, fill in some blanks, point it to your articles and the header graphic, and it builds the site for you in minutes.
Now, there are some set up steps that you need to go through before you build this site. That is what we’re discussing this time.
The first thing you need to do is pick a domain name. When you pick a domain name, make sure you use your keywords in the name. For example, my web site is going to be in the computer programming niche, so I need to make sure my domain name has computer programming in it. Names like AllAboutComputerProgramming or EverythingAboutComputerProgramming would be good domain names.
After you pick a name, you need to register it with a domain name registrar. Go Daddy is one of the most popular, and I use them for all my domain names. Go register your domain name, but do not buy any of there hosting offers. They are limited in what they allow you to do. I have a much better (and cheaper) solution for hosting your site.
You are going to need a hosting account and an autoresponder, at a minimum, for your site. You can purchase these separately if you want to spend over $30 a month, or you can use Ultimate Marketing Center to do both for less than $20 a month.
Ultimate Marketing Center gives you all the tools you need to run a successful online business. You get a web hosting account, unlimited autoresponder, unlimited ad tracker, affiliate manager, customer support center, and much more! If you were to purchase these services seperately, you would pay over $100 per month (I’ve done it myself)! But you get all this, and more for only $19.95 per month!
Here is everything you get with your Ultimate Marketing Center hosting account:
- Elite, Reliable Web Hosting (that allows you to host up to 20 different sites)…
- List Management Service and Unlimited Auto-Responders…
- Ad Tracking Services to find what’s making you money and what’s not…
- Affiliate Management System to help you increase your traffic and sales exponentially…
- Membership management services to automatically run a members area without spending a fortune in programming.
- Customer support system to properly record and organize visitor queries…
This package is worth so much more than $19.95 a month!
But my favorite feature of my Ultimate Marketing Center account is the personal customer support. Kavi is the owner of Ultimate Marketing Center, but he personally answers every question I have, implements suggestions I make for new features, and is always responsive. Plus, he is constantly adding new features to the package, so it is always getting better.
After you get your domain name and your hosting account, you need to point your domain to your new host. You should receive instructions from the web host explaining how to do this.
Next time we’ll discuss how to populate your site for the best possible results.
Please leave comments if you have any questions or suggestions.

Hi Charles
So far so good. I have done something similar with a site for my nephew. He wanted a generic site with some ready made articles on a few topics and he plans to add to them as the goes along. I am taking the more conservative route with my site and building it from scratch.
I look forward to more of your articles on this particular subject as we seem to be at similar stages as far as this aspect of online business goes.
Regards and keep up the good work
