Newbie Article Marketer Gets Published!

If you’ve been following me very long, you might not consider me a newbie. Well, I still do, especially when it comes to Article Marketing.
I’ve never published an article, except for here on my blog or in my newsletter. I guess I have always been intimidated by the prospect.
However, as I’ve learned, Article Marketing can get you tons of free traffic, and some say is the best form of free traffic, period.
So, with the prodding of my mentor, Article Marketing Expert Doug Champigny, I decided I need to take the plunge and write an article.
What did I write about? Well, you know that there are some great give aways coming up, and that I’ve been pushing them pretty hard. However, I think there may be some people who still haven’t grasped the power of giving away your products.

CommentLuv Contest - Spread the Luv!

I am a HUGE fan of free traffic! If you have a blog, the best way to get free traffic is from the Search Engines. However, I’m fond of saying that having a web site, even a blog, on the Internet is akin to putting a billboard on a back road in New Mexico. The only way people will ever see it is if they drive by it. Without guiding (funneling them) to your site, people won’t see it.
Backlinks have been a great way to get links to your blog. Basically when you comment on someone else’ blog, if they have the Do Follow Plugin on their blog, you will get a backlink to your blog. Backlinks help the Search Engines find your blog.
However, with the CommentLuv plugin, not only do you get a backlink to your blog, but your comment will also include the title and link to your latest blog post!
That is huge, because now you’ll be able to entice readers of that blog back to your blog, if your title interests them. When I read through the comments on a blog, if I see a blog post link that interests me, I click through. That results in free traffic for that commentor.

Build Your List By Giving Away Your Products!

What?!
Yep, one of the best ways to build your list is to give away your products. I’ve personally been giving away my products this year and reaping the benefits by growing my list.
There is a saying, “You have to give to receive” and it’s true. It is a natural law, called “The Ethic of Reciprocity”. You can look it up on Wiki to see what I’m talking about, or just read my article here.
Anyway, one of the best ways to take advantage of the Ethic of Reciprocity is to participate in Give Away Events.
Well, two really big events are about to take place and you have plenty of time to get your gifts created and ready to upload.
The Thanksgiving Giveaway - This one will be huge! It is being hosted by David Canham & Bill McRea, who know how to throw a great event! There are a lot of big names participating in this event like, Doug Champigny, Guido Nussbaum, Alex Perez-Prat, Joel Osborne, and so many more.
Santa’s Big Giveaway - The Christmas give aways are always huge because everyone is looking for gifts to give away to their list during the Holidays. You’ve got lots of time to get your gift loaded and start promoting this one. Again there are a big bunch of big name marketers participating and promoting this event so you’re sure to be able to add hundreds to your list.
Both of these events are running on a new point-based system. Not only do you get to keep your gift listed based on points, but you also get to move your gift forward in the listing based on points. So, the more points you have, the better chance you can get your gift moved to the front of the listing and get more subscribers.
I’ve found that the best way to get the most subscribers from these types of events is to buy the upgrade. With the upgrade you will usually get enough points to keep your gift listed, have the ability to upload multiple gifts, and now you can even download the other gifts without subscribing to their newsletters! You’ll also get enough points to move your gift to the first couple of pages of listing, so you’ll get even more subscribers. If you buy the upgrade when you first sign up it will save you some bucks too!
So, end the year with a bang and sign up for these two give away events so you can add hundreds of fresh new subscribers to your list. With new subscribers you’ll be able to offer them products to help them in the new year.

Last night in the U.S. something historical happened. Whether you are Republican, Democrat or Independent, you can’t help but recognize the historical significance of the vote yesterday and the election of Barack Obama to the office of President of The United States.
It seems that the Race Barrier and has been broken through and there is no longer any reason minority or non-white people cannot expect to achieve anything they set their mind to achieve.
I didn’t vote for him, I don’t agree with his policies, but regardless, he is My President, Our President. We all need to work together to continue moving our country forward. In these difficult economic times it will require creative thinking and bi-partisan solutions to help us overcome the difficulties we are now facing.
I respect the office of President of The United States and respect Barack Obama for his historic achievement. I sincerely hope that Barack Obama will truly take this opportunity to not push the agenda of bigger government, but will really reach out to conservatives and come to a consensus on ideas that will help America remain a great and free country.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, if you are building a successful business online, then you need to be developing a relationship of trust with your prospects and customers.
You won’t be a very successful entrepreneur if you don’t build some type of relationship with your customers.
You hear all the time about the marketers who create a new product or service then sell millions of dollars worth in the first few weeks. How can they do that?
It’s because they have a relationship with their customers. Their customers have purchased a product or two from them in the past, have used it, felt that they got a great value from it, and have been happy with the product. Then when that marketer releases or recommends a new product, that customer is more likely to purchase from him / her again.
In his book The Sales Bible, Jeffrey Gitomer says
“All things being equal, people want to do business with their friends. All things being not quite so equal, people STILL want to do business with their friends.”
So, how do you develop this relationship with your prospects and customers so they feel they are your friends?
These days it is much easier than it used to be, with the advent of Social Networking.
Social Networking is a combination of different web 2.0 sites that allow you to keep in touch and instantly update your “friends” with information about what you are currently doing. That’s a short and not all-inclusive definition, but it covers that basics for now. Now, these are only a few of the many, many social networking sites that are available. With just these services you can generate tons of new traffic to your sites.
This is just a brief, very brief, overview of some of the Social Networking sites you can use to build your online network and business.

Product Creation or Product Promotion?

I just read a post from Frank Haywood called “A New Product Every Week”.
I have been following Frank for a while and he offers really great advice and content. His products are very well thought out and I use many of them.
But when I was reading the post, a question came to my mind…
Should you focus on creating product after product in rapid-fire succession?
Or should you create a new product and then concentrate on promoting that product for a while? And if you should focus on promoting one product, how long should you promote it, before creating a new product?
I am an affiliate for several Dime Sale, or Weekly Offer sites and they turn out new sales every week. Does this count as a new product a week, or not?
I have personally spent several weeks creating a product, then put all my time and energy into promoting that product. I’m currently working on a new site that will offer new products on a bi-monthly basis and pay affiliates instant PayPal commissions through the Rapid Action Profits script. However, after I launch that site, I plan on spending all my efforts on promoting that site and signing up as many affiliates as I can.
Should that be my focus, or should I move on to the next product quickly?

Affiliate Marketing Does Work!

I want to start out by saying that I’m NOT a super affiliate marketer. I usually get one or two sales from a promotion that I do for affiliate products. My biggest check has been around $30, until today!
Today I was shocked to see a payment to my Paypal account for $148.50! In fact, I was so surprised, before I even read what it was, I clicked to see what in the world I had spent $148.50 on!
When I clicked on the Details Link, here’s what I saw:
WOO HOO Indeed!
So, how did a guy like me, with barely a list, earn over $100 on an affiliate product?
Simple, I put it on my download page, opt-in page and branded ebook!
First, I used the squeeze page that the system provides for you. See, MLM Squeeze Pages? The product is a series of squeeze pages, that you can use to build your list. Here’s the one I uploaded:
How To Get Rich Building A Lazy Downline
Now, with most products that you can brand and give away, if they provide you a squeeze page, usually the lead goes to the list of the product owner. This is partially true of MLM Squeeze Pages.
I say partially because if you upgrade (that’s where the affiliate commissions come in) you can add your own auto responder form code! That’s priceless!
As a matter of fact, I use lots of different traffic generation programs, such as traffic exchanges. However, I will only promote externally the ones that allow me to build my list first. If they give me a splash page with a form on it, if it doesn’t go to my list first, I won’t promote them externally.
Here’s an example of one that gives me the lead, Residual Traffic System. When you click that link, go ahead I won’t bite , you’ll see that when you click the Join Now button, you’ll see a form. If you fill out that form to get the free Residual Traffic System, you’ll be added to my mailing list as well as joining the system.
So, that’s secret #1, build your list first with the products, even affiliate products, that you promote.
Secret #2, the download page. I’ve said it several times if you don’t have an offer, even a free offer with a paid upgrade option, on your download page, you’ll miss out on the opportunity to earn more money. If you follow the link to get How To Get Rich Building A Lazy Downline, after you fill out the form, you’ll see my download page, which has a great offer on it!
And Finally, secret #3, the product itself. If you create a product, or promote a product that doesn’t have links back to your site, your list, or your products, you’re wasting your time promoting. Go back to the Residual Traffic System and check out the links inside the system. As a member of the system, you’ll be able to add your own affiliate links to the programs that are promoted.
That’s it, 3 secrets to become a soon-to-be “Super” Affiliate.
Secret #1 - Promote You, and your list first.
Secret #2 - Use the Download Page to make an offer.
Secret #3 - Use the Product to get links back to you, your list, and your affiliate products.
